Inspiration from Poetic Sources

I first found this poem referenced in another novel. It grabbed me immediately. To be unafraid of the unknown, of the dark, to be confident in the light from the stars. It felt like a connection to God, to know you would never walk alone.

This, I knew, was Byron Domitius, my vampire. The light from the stars rains down on him, infuses him with magic and power, and he is forever sure and confident in that light.

So, I decided to take the light away.
