Paranormal Romance
MM fantasy and scifi are my two favorite genres. I demand plot in my stories. I wallow like a kitty in a sunbeam for well defined fantasy worlds. Magic and futuristic science and alien species and fantasy species Oh My! It’s the genre I read and the genre I write. I asked Morgan Brice about why she writes in paranormal romance, and I’ve got to say, her perfect read sounds a lot like mine!

Ghost stories, urban legends and scary folktales have always been my thing, and I’m a huge fan of the TV show Supernatural (and a lot of others like it). I can’t help thinking that any story is better if it’s got a ghost or a monster in it—or a murder or two. Add two hot guys falling in love and it sounds like a perfect read to me!
Which is how I ended up writing urban fantasy MM paranormal romance as Morgan Brice, after many years of writing non-romance urban fantasy as Gail Z. Martin. I read a lot of books in the genre, got hooked, and decided I wanted in on the fun.
In my Witchbane series, Seth and Evan go on the road together after a dark warlock tries to kill Evan. Seth is avenging his brother Jesse, who was killed by a disciple of the dark warlock, and wants to stop the cycle of deaths, which has gone on for a century. Now Seth and Evan are fighting monsters together and learning to be in a relationship. It makes for some interesting dynamics!
Both men have insecurities and old hurts to overcome, but learning to trust is essential if they’re going to have each other’s backs. So high stakes—and high sizzle!
